We know that drivers in Columbus, Grove City, or Lincoln Village, Ohio, want a vehicle that is safe, comfortable, and tech-forward. SUV drivers especially appreciate this, as they may often be driving their families and want to provide the safest environment for them.

Both the 2021 Nissan Rogue and Honda CR-V fit the bill, but each one displays their own strengths in certain categories. Here at Georgesville Nissan, our team wrote this Nissan Rogue vs. Honda CR-V comparison to further help drivers in their decision. Keep reading to learn more, and contact us today if you have additional questions!

2021 Nissan Rogue vs. Honda CR-V: Safety

Both the Rogue and CR-V make sure to offer plenty of safety to passengers, and each includes their own standard safety system: the Honda Sensing® Suite on the CR-V and the Safety Shield® 360 on the Rogue. Each system features its own set of offerings, and there are also additional safety upgrades available.

On the CR-V, you will find a Collision Mitigation Braking System™ that works similarly to the Rogue's Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. Both systems aim to reduce the chance of a collision through warnings and assisted braking. The Rogue, however, takes it even further with standard Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. This feature can sense up to two cars in front of you and watches both vehicles for potential braking so that you can adjust your speed too.

The Rogue is also innovative in offering standard Blind Spot Warning so that you can more safely merge into another lane, as well as standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert to carefully back out of a parking space. The CR-V does have a Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross Traffic Monitor, but it does not come standard like the Rogue's.

Another cool safety feature on the Rogue is available Traffic Sign Recognition. This advanced feature can read upcoming traffic signs and place them on your dashboard so that you can view them up-close. The CR-V, on the other hand, offers no such feature.

2021 Nissan Rogue vs. Honda CR-V: Interior Amenities

In addition to safety, you want some other interior amenities to keep you comfortable. Both the Nissan Rogue and Honda CR-V offer available heated front seats as well as an available heated steering wheel so that those chilly winter mornings won't interfere with your comfort. However, the Rogue goes even further and offers available rear heated seats so that those in the back can also enjoy this same comfort.

In addition, the Rogue also features available Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control so that everyone in the car can adjust the settings to their preferences. With the CR-V, you'll only be able to enjoy an available Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control System, so your rear passengers will miss out on this amenity.

2021 Nissan Rogue vs. Honda CR-V: Technology

Technology is also plentiful in each vehicle, with each model offering their own available advanced navigation system that can provide mapping and traffic information to make those trips easier. However, as with the other categories mentioned, you'll notice a few differences in other technology offerings.

For one, the Nissan Rogue features a standard 8-inch touchscreen with an available 9-inch one for more surface space. The CR-V, on the other hand, only features a standard 5-inch LCD screen, and you have the option to upgrade to a 7-inch touchscreen instead.

With this touchscreen, you'll want to connect to different apps, and you'll be able to do so with both models. For example, the Rogue features standard Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ so that you can listen to music, find directions, or make hands-free phone calls. Unfortunately, the CR-V base trim is not compatible with either app, so you'd have to choose a higher trim level.

In addition, both the Rogue and CR-V offer an available wireless charger so that you can more conveniently power up your phone. However, the Rogue is the only one to extend additional available wireless capability to Apple CarPlay®. Now, you'll be given the opportunity to enjoy this app in a wireless format-something you won't be able to do in the CR-V.
